Hey there, Domenica, and welcome to planDisney! I always perk up when I get the chance to answer a MagicBand question for a Guest. So I will apologize in advance if all of my excitement flows through my response below.
Domenica, I have a Disney Vacation that is quickly approaching - super excited by the way - and also noticed the limited
MagicBand selection while searching for my next band. If you are choosing your MagicBand in your
My Disney Experience Account you may see an official notification from Walt Disney World stating that MagicBand availability is currently limited due to supply chain challenges. I was searching late last week and saw that a few new styles dropped, but availability is constantly changing, and they may no longer be available. If you have some time before your vacation, I recommend checking back periodically to see if availability appears for a style that catches your eye. If not, I suggest waiting until you arrive inside the Disney “bubble” to secure your MagicBands. I enjoy visiting the
World of Disney in Disney Springs and seeing all of the styles that are available in the physical retail locations.
And if you can’t find a MagicBand style that you love, you can always opt to use the
Disney MagicMobile service instead. Disney’s MagicMobile Pass is a contactless - and convenient - option that gives you access to the same entitlements as a MagicBand. Disney’s MagicMobile pass also gives you access to Theme Park entry, Lightning Lane Entrances, Disney PhotoPass images, etc. MagicMobile Passes can be created in your
My Disney Experience mobile app with the following steps. Open your mobile app and select the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner. Choose the “Disney MagicMobile” option and complete the remaining prompts to create your MagicMobile Pass. Once created, your pass can be saved in your Apple Wallet for easy access to the Theme Parks by touching your phone or Apple Watch to the Theme Park Entrance touchpoints.
I hope this helps, Domenica!
Let me know if you have any other questions!
