Hiya Deborah,
Welcome to planDisney! My Prince Charming likes to joke that I permanently have a balance due for a Disney vacation; the moment we leave one trip, I’m already planning our next one. I would be happy to help you make payments on your upcoming trip if you are eligible to do so!
I mention eligibility because not all Walt Disney World Resort outstanding balances can be paid in advance of check-in. To make payments, you will need to have a
Vacation Package, which is a booking that combines a stay at a resort hotel with theme park tickets. If you paid for your theme park tickets separately from your resort hotel, then you likely have a “room only” reservation and can only pay your remaining balance in full when you check in. Now, assuming you have a Vacation Package, let’s chat about making payments. To do this, log in to your
My Disney Experience account, and you should see the header “Deborah’s Plans and Tickets” after doing so. Scroll down on the page until you see your upcoming resort hotel reservation details, including dates and confirmation number. If you have a Vacation Package, you will also see an option to make a payment! Click that button to make a payment and complete the onscreen prompts to make a payment towards your Vacation Package. If you know you have a Vacation Package and still don’t see an option to make a payment, you might need to reach out to a Cast Member to troubleshoot any technical issues and help you figure out what to do next.
I hope that was helpful, Deborah. Before I let you go, did you know that you can use
Disney Gift Cards to make payments toward a Vacation Package? I do this all the time because I prefer using those over my credit/debit cards. You can use Disney Gift Cards for dining, merchandise, and most anything else you would need for a magical vacation. Please note that if you choose to do this, ensure you hold on to your Disney Gift Cards until after check-in, in case any refunds are credited back to those cards. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
