Hi there, Orlando,
Uh oh! June 26th wasn’t too long ago. I hope that
626 day didn’t mean that
Experiment 626 (A.K.A. Stitch) was causing mischief for you!
A friend of mine also had difficulty purchasing Disney Parks tickets online. She was able to get things worked out and was able to purchase her tickets. Hopefully, we can help you find a solution that will help you as well.
My recommended way to purchase Disneyland Resort
theme park tickets is using a
Disney Gift Card. A gift card may be used to purchase your tickets
online or in the
Disneyland mobile app. When a purchase amount is larger than the amount on a single gift card, multiple gift cards may be combined on the “
My Cards” page of the
Disney Gift Card website. And when purchasing multiple tickets, it’s also OK to break those up into more than one transaction. All of the tickets will still be linked to the same account. I can usually find gift cards at a discounted price at some warehouse clubs or with store credit cards or rewards programs from certain retail stores, like
Target.
Then, there is the typical troubleshooting that we might do with common technical issues. I recommend trying things like switching to different devices, using alternate web browsers, logging out and logging back in, deleting and reinstalling the mobile app, resetting devices, and/or clearing cached website data from the browser. These types of approaches can sometimes be helpful to set loose the computer or device to allow for a successful transaction. I’m an engineer. So I know how discouraging it can be when these types of issues hinder us. I get that it’s not the best experience to go through unplanned steps. I’m sure that a team of developers is aware of the ticket purchase issues out there and is working diligently to sort through the myriad of complex systems operating in the background to resolve the issue.
Tony’s Tip: If you choose to use a Disney Gift Card to purchase tickets, you may end up with funds left over on your gift card. To help you use that gift card more conveniently, I recommend storing the gift card number in a note on your mobile phone. When you use the
Disneyland mobile app to place a
mobile food and beverage order or for
Merchandise Mobile Checkout, you can copy your gift card number from the note and paste it into the app.
I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Orlando!
