How ya doin' Toni and welcome back to planDisney!
Electric Conveyance Vehicles or ECVs are the best things since sliced bread for getting around the Walt Disney World Resort if you're dealing with mobility issues. And they've made sure the process is easy so that you can roll into your Disney day without a care in the world.
If you don't have your own, you always have the option of
renting your ECV when visiting the Theme Parks. There are rental locations conveniently situated near the front of all 4 parks as well as locations at
Disney Springs and Typhoon Lagoon. Currently, rentals are $50 a day with a $20 deposit required at the Theme Parks and a $100 deposit required at Disney Springs and the water parks(prices are subject to change). In my experience, the whole process only requires a few minutes at the beginning of your day with the Cast Member in charge of the rental location. Once you've paid and gotten your receipt, put it somewhere safe as you'll need it if you plan on park hopping. You'll turn your ECV in where you got it, head to your next park, and then get another at that park once you've shown your receipt.
If your need for an ECV extends beyond inside the parks and you'd rather have one for the entire length of your stay, you have the option of renting from an outside company like ScooterBug, the Disney Featured Provider. There are plenty of companies in the area that will even bring your ECV directly to your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. We used one of these services on my most recent trip with my mom, who can't walk long distances due to a severe injury, and it made our whole vacation even more peaceful.
Toni, I hope I've been able to help you today. If you have any other questions, just come back and
ask me. I'm happy to help!
Happy planning!
