Hi Ethan! I’m so glad you stopped by planDisney with your question. I know the rules around
Annual Passholder reservations can sometimes feel a little confusing, so let’s untangle the pixie dust together.
Here’s the scoop: Annual Passholders can still visit EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom after 2:00 PM without a reservation (subject to capacity). But for Magic Kingdom, things work a little differently right now. Since July 20, 2025, Disney has asked that Annual Passholders have a reservation to enter Magic Kingdom at any time of day, even after 2:00 PM. This update is in place to help manage the extra excitement around new offerings, like the debut of
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away.
The good news is that you can still
make a reservation for another park, tap in there first, and then hop over to Magic Kingdom later that day (as long as it hasn’t reached capacity). It just means you’ll want to keep an eye on those reservations to make sure your day unfolds as smoothly as a glide down Main Street, Mickey pretzel in hand!
Ethan, I hope this helps you plan a practically perfect day. With a reservation in hand, you’ll be ready to soak up every magical moment at Magic Kingdom, from that first castle view to the fireworks painting the sky at night!
See ya real soon,
Emille
