I’m delighted to see you’re planning to purchase a Magic Key pass. I was in the “virtual waiting room” most of the day to purchase a Magic Key pass and just completed the process. I can understand your frustration, because I also initially arrived to the checkout process where it asked me to pay in full. Although I already signed into my Disney account and ensured that my home address is linked, I was stumped at first as to why I wasn’t offered the option to pay in monthly installments.
Then, my friend and fellow Panelist, Tiffanie, came to my rescue. She instructed me to back out several steps. There was a page that asked you to:
1)
Select the Number of Passports
2)
Select a Payment Type
a. Pay in Full, or
b. Monthly Payment Option for California Residents
Be sure to select the second option and check the box that says “I am a California resident and at least 18 years of age” before proceeding to the next step. It’ll then show you the down payment due as well as your estimated monthly payments.
