Hello there! I'm trying to learn more about Tom Sawyer Island - it sounds like a great place for our 6 and 7 year old boys; how do you actually get onto the island? Are there special things to try to look for?

    Hi Catherine!

Hooray! I see your magical vacation is right around the corner.

Tom Sawyer Island at Magic Kingdom Park is one of my family's favorite mid-day escapes. It seems like time almost slows down once you take a log raft across the Rivers of America. There are wonderful places to sit in the cool shade and plenty of areas for your little ones to explore and burn off a bit of energy.

You'll also find several Hidden Mickey's to spot on the island. My kids really enjoy climbing around the Tom Sawyer Scavage Fort and winding their way through Injun Joe's Cave. While many Guests never make the trek to the island, I really think it's worth the time. We usually eat an early lunch and head over or go during lunch-time and build our appetite exploring.

Have a great time adventuring in one of my favorite Magic Kingdom spots, Catherine! I hope the rest of your trip is just as magical. If we can assist you with anything else, please let us know.
