I’m trying to go to Goofy’s Kitchen from Best Western Park Place Inn across the street on Harbor Blvd. Is there a shuttle I can take as I would rather not start the day off with 5 kids under 7 walking almost a mile.

    Hi there, Barbett!

Welcome to planDisney. Best Western Plus Park Place Inn & Mini Suites is always at the top of my list of Good Neighbor Hotels around the Disneyland Resort, mainly because the location can't be beat! It's right across the street from the Disneyland entrance, making it incredibly easy to come back for an afternoon nap, a quick swim, or just a little recharge before heading back for more magic.

The Riding the Bus to Disneyland page on the Disneyland website has some helpful suggestions for getting around the Anaheim area. Since the Anaheim Regional Transportation (ART) stopped providing bus service earlier this year, the transportation options are somewhat limited, unfortunately. A rideshare service is certainly an option, although with a larger group, you may need multiple vehicles and possibly car seats for the little Mouseketeers.

You could also look into the local public bus system operated by the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA). You can search online to review routes and estimate fares. I haven't had the chance to ride OCTA myself, but it looks like a straightforward option. The City of Garden Grove may also offer shuttle services now, so it's worth searching online for that, as well.

I completely understand wanting to save those little legs before a busy park day! Even so, I think the easiest way to reach the Disneyland Hotel is by walking through the Downtown Disney District. It's a pleasant stroll, and best of all, you get to stay immersed in the Disney "bubble" the entire time. There are also some adorable photo spots along the way! One of my favorites is under Sorcerer Mickey's hat right as you head into the Disneyland Hotel area.

Depending on the ages of your kids, a stroller may be very helpful! When my kids were little, I bought an affordable, lightweight stroller that folded easily. Having a place for them to relax for a bit made a huge difference during long days in the parks (for both them and me!).

Once you have wrapped up your delicious breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen, you will be just steps away from the Disneyland Monorail. It's located right next to the Disneyland Hotel and provides a fun and convenient way to enter Disneyland Park. Just keep in mind that you will most likely need to fold up any strollers before boarding.

Barbett, I wish I had more transportation options for you, but I know you will have a fantastic time having breakfast with Goofy and his pals! They are a hoot! If you think of any other questions, please send them over to planDisney.
