Hi! I'm trying to find a way to view Illuminations at Epcot while sitting/dining. I have heard either Tokyo Dining or Tappen Edo have views of it while you are eatting-from your table. Is this true? And is it only certain tables with a view? Thanks!

    Hi Jill!

Great plan ... IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth is one of the very best illustrations of Disney entertainment. I, too, love to seek out dining locations suited for awesome viewing. Here are my suggestions:

I hesitate to suggest Tokyo Dining, only because in my experience, the deck surrounding the windows becomes quite crowded just prior to showtime. My absolute favorite location in the above list is Rose & Crown.

Requesting fireworks viewing (window seat, patio table, etc) at the podium is recommended. You'll want to set the reservation about 1.5 hours prior to showtime. Window or patio seats are never guaranteed, but I wish you faith, trust and pixie dust for the coveted viewing spot, Jill!

Be sure to book your Advanced Dining Reservations as early as 180-days prior to arrival. You can do so by clicking the above links, or by calling Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE, 407-939-3463.

    Happy planning,
