Hi Mark!
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for sending your question to us hEAR!
I'm an Air Force spouse so I know exactly which tickets you're talking about. The
3 and 4-Day U.S. Military Park Hopper Promotional Tickets are such a wonderful value and I'm very thankful that Disney chooses to show appreciation to those who serve by offering a great way to reconnect at The Happiest Place on Earth. At the current time, these tickets are
only available to be purchased from a Military Ticket Sales office on a base or post. You are correct that these tickets used to be sold at the front gate ticket booths, but part of the
reopening health and safety measures are still to limit interactions at the ticket booths, so for the time being these tickets can be very hard to get on short notice if you don't live near a base. Also keep in mind that these tickets are only for those who are currently serving in Active Duty, the Guard or the Reserves, those who retired after 20 or more yEARs of service, and those who are 100% service-connected disabled.
Another caveat is that
all tickets now need to make
Park Pass Reservations which tell Mickey and his pals which parks you plan to be in on which days of your visit. Park Pass Reservations open for booking 120 days in advance, and it is the middle of Spring Break season, so ticket sales were likely paused online because there are no more park pass reservations. In fact, hEARs the
Park Pass Reservation Calendar.
You might be able to purchase tickets same-day at the ticket booths as they sometimes have some last-minute availability for both tickets and park passes. However, if you could purchase tickets from a base (or any other third-party Disneyland authorized ticket seller) you
can still get Park Pass Reservations for this Sunday
if you were also to book a room at a
Disneyland Resort Hotel as there is a separate pool of Park Pass Reservations held specifically for Disney hotel guests.
I am so sorry that this isn't the answer that you were hoping for, Mark. I do hope that it helped to clEAR things up a bit, and I also hope that we're able to see you real soon! Do let us know if you have any more
