Hi Mindy, and welcome to planDisney!
The more, the merrier is a great phrase to remember when it comes to a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Having everyone in the same vicinity makes for a magical vacation for all.
You have great options when it comes to where to stay as a group, even if you need more than one room to accommodate everyone. One option would be to reserve two separate rooms and request that the rooms be connected. Though making the request will not be guaranteed, you have a good chance of getting what you desire. Another option would be to reserve a Family Suite to accommodate everyone in one room. As you have mentioned, the Family Suites at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort offer amenities such as a kitchenette with a microwave and small refrigerator, in addition to 2 full bathrooms, which will come in handy. In addition, you have three themed suites to choose from: The Lion King, Finding Nemo, and Cars Family Suites (this is an excellent option if this is the resort you are most interested in).
Disney's All-Star Music Resort also offers a Family Suite with some of the same amenities. It comes down to preference and location.
Another option could be one of the 2-bedroom villas at a resort like
Disney's Old Key West Resort. Villas are spacious and boast fully equipped kitchens, two full bathrooms, and a washer and dryer. I love the surroundings at Disney's Old Key West Resort because it is so peaceful, and it has available parking right in front of your villa, so there is no need to walk too far.
No matter what you decide, be sure to add the names of everyone to your
Family & Friends list in your My Disney Experience account. Adding everyone ensures you are together when it comes to dining options or deciding to purchase the
Disney Genie+ option.
Please return should you have additional questions.
Have a magical time!
