    Hi; I'm trying to find a restaurant in the AK area for an early breakfast on a day when AK opens early (8am). Unfortunately tusker house does not open before 8. Would it be practical to eat at AKL's Boma? How would we get there from GF or Contemp?

    Hi Julie!

    Boma is one of my absolute favourite spots for breakfast on the morning of a day my family is visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom.

    If you choose to make an early reservation there, you'll simply head out to your Disney Resort Hotel's bus stop area 45-60 minutes prior to your planned reservation time. Disney Transportation buses begin operations shortly past 6am specifically to accommodate Guests with early, breakfast reservations around the property. Advise a Cast Member at your resort bus stop that you're headed to Animal Kingdom Lodge for a reservation at Boma. He or she will assist and direct you to the next bus headed to Animal Kingdom where you will likely need to transfer to an Animal Kingdom Lodge bus for the short, second part of your journey.

    If you'd prefer, you may also opt to take a taxi directly from your resort to Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House. The fare will be $15-20 and you'll be there in only about 15-20 minutes of travel time.

    Even with the possible need to take two buses or pay a cab fare, I can assure you that you won't be disappointed by Boma. It's well worth the effort to get there! The food is fantastic!
