Greetings, Marleta, and welcome to planDisney! So you're dreaming of a vacation at the Happiest Place on Earth – that's great! I'm happy to share some of the ways you can make that happen, plus some tips I've learned from my own trips.
The
Help Center on the Disneyland website lists helpful numbers you can call for assistance, including the Vacation Packages line. A helpful Cast Member would be happy to help you build and book your package. You can also
book a vacation package online by adding theme park tickets when you make your room reservation. It may be helpful to use the
website's search tool to determine your ideal travel dates and top priorities for accommodations.
There are some benefits to adding theme park tickets to your Disneyland Resort hotel booking, beyond the convenience of having everything done in one transaction.
Disneyland Resort Hotel vacation packages also come with a collectible pin and lanyard (subject to availability), as well as a voucher that can be redeemed for discounts at participating
Downtown Disney District locations.
Now, when choosing a hotel, you'll want to consider factors such as room availability and the nightly rates for your travel dates, theme preferences, and your trip itinerary. All three Disneyland Resort hotels offer comfortable amenities, fabulous pool areas, on-site dining options, and a walkable distance to the theme parks. You really can't go wrong with any of them.
Marleta, make sure to build time in your trip to enjoy the hotel as well. Beyond the pools and dining spots, you can also enjoy
activities exclusive to hotel Guests, such as complimentary movie nights and hotel tours.
Here are some other tips that may come in handy:
- You can continue to use the pool area at your Disneyland Resort hotel on the day you depart, even after you've checked out. Just store your luggage with the Bell Desk, except for a bag that you'll keep with your swimsuits or a change of clothes. Your room key will work in the pool area until the end of the day!
- Try to book dining reservations in advance, especially for popular locations. Reservations can typically be made up to 60 days ahead of time. You can always modify or cancel your reservation as long as you do so in accordance with the restaurant's policy.
- My family likes to head back to the hotel in the early afternoon to rest. It's a chance to reset after spending a busy morning in the park. And after relaxing, we have energy to stay out for the nighttime entertainment. This is also a great way to avoid the park during what is usually the hottest point of the day.
Marleta, I hope this information has sprinkled a little pixie dust on your plans. If you have any other questions, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Wishing you magic,
Kriss
