I'm trying to figure out themes for our Destiny cruise on January 4, 2026. Thank you

    Ahoy there, Ronya!

Welcome back to planDisney with your cruise theme question! And how fun is this—we’re actually going to be on the same sailing! I bet you’re counting down the days until you board the Disney Destiny. My family and I can’t wait either—we’re already dreaming of ocean breezes, character hugs, and unlimited soft-serve ice cream.

Let’s dive right into your question! For your four-night adventure, the dress code is cruise casual most nights, with one extra-magical exception: Night 3 is Pirate Night (subject to change). This is when you can go all out in your finest pirate gear—think bandanas, boots, stripes, and swashbuckling flair. Or if you prefer, cruise casual is still perfectly fine. On Pirate Night, you’ll enjoy a pirate-themed dining, a lively deck party under the stars, and pirate-themed photo backdrops in the Grand Hall. It’s definitely one of my family’s favorite nights!

Even though the other evenings are listed as cruise casual, I’ve seen Guests have a lot of fun dressing to match the theme of their rotational dining restaurant, their favorite lounges, or the evening’s entertainment. And of course, some Guests simply enjoy dressing up because it’s a magical night out at sea! Cruise casual typically means shorts, pants, sundresses, or nice tops—just no swimwear or tank tops in the restaurants.

Ronya, I hope this helps you plan all your outfits for your upcoming adventure. If any more questions pop up as we get closer to setting sail, please cruise back our way.

    See ya real soon,

    Christina
