Hey Howdy Hey, Sarah! This is such a good question, so I’m glad you thought to ride by planDisney before your upcoming Disney Cruise adventure.
I appreciate your desire to be prepared while also making sure the items you bring don’t fall within the
list of prohibited and restricted items. It sounds like you’ve already done your research and I’m inclined to agree with you; your USB hub and fan should both be fine for your trip. Just to be sure, I would pack them in your carry-on bag so they can be inspected at the port before you board.
If any unapproved items are found in your checked luggage, they will be confiscated. This could cause a delay in the delivery of your luggage to your stateroom until later that evening on embarkation day. If, on the other hand, your items do not meet safety standards when going through security, they will be taken from you and returned when you disembark the ship.
Speaking of a carry-on bag, there are a few things I would pack in there so you can start having fun the second you step onboard. In addition to keeping important things like travel documents and medications with you, I also like to pack my swimsuit, sunglasses, cover-up, and Disney pins so I can start trading right away. And if you happen to forget anything,
Mickey’s Mainsail is the perfect place to pick up necessities and your favorite Disney Cruise souvenirs.
All in all, a USB hub is a great way to keep all your devices (including your
DisneyBand+) charged and ready to go. If you need any other suggestions on what to bring, you can reference this
packing list. I hope you have a cruise that’s out of this world. Keep reaching for the sky and don’t forget to fly back to us here at
planDisney if you think of any other questions we can help with.
To infinity and beyond,
Sami
