Hello, I’m trying to figure out if the double stroller will work for my very tall 6 yr old. Does the canopy on the double stroller retract to give more room? Thank you

    Hi there, Kelly!

My nephews are also very tall for their age. So I understand the interesting experiences that come with taking tall children to the Disneyland Resort. The good news for my nephews is that they were tall enough to experience all of the “big kid rides” before most other children their age!

For safety reasons, the canopy on the Disneyland Resort rental strollers does not fold or retract. Fortunately, the strollers are designed to accommodate a wide variety of child sizes. So I’m hopeful that the high placement of the canopy will still be able to accommodate your Super Hero-sized sidekick. If they are tall enough to bump up against the canopy, I’m also hopeful that they may be able to comfortably lean back at an angle in the stroller, especially if any stroller-mate sharing the sweet ride is small enough to leave spare headroom on that side.

I hope you and your mighty crew have a wonderful time at the Disneyland Resort, Kelly. There is so much to see and do, even for younger Mouseketeers. For example, you can use the Disneyland mobile app to search for “dance party.” The top few hits will show you the way to get up and groove along with favorite characters from Disney Junior, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and more!

    Have a magical time, Kelly!
