Hi there, David!
Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Disney Cruise Line vacations are perfect for families with preschoolers! It's amazing to see the excitement and awe in the little ones when they see their favorite
Disney Characters in real life!
I have little ones and we have been cruising with them since they were itty bitty with similar bedtimes to your little one. We have always opted for the Main Dining time, which is approximately 5:45PM. Dinner service usually lasts 60-75 minutes, but your servers can definitely try to get your food out to you quickly if you need to get out of there (i.e. preschooler meltdown…). Nightly entertainment and live shows are fantastic, so if there is one in particular that we definitely do not want to miss, we will order in Room Service or grab some dinner from the pool deck options and catch the earlier performance. You may be surprised though – the exciting entertainment and live shows have entertained our boys enough that we’ve been able to keep them up a little later than we normally would!
Be sure you register your little one for the
Youth Clubs when you complete your Online Check-In and pick up their Oceaneer Band when you check in at the port for embarkation. Check out your daily Navigator or the
Navigator app will list activities and entertainment that you don't want to miss.
I am excited for all the wonderful memories you and your family will make at sea on a Disney Cruise Line adventure. As you continue planning, feel free to come back with any additional questions!
Happy Sailing!
