I'm trying to figure out what is the best hotel that has the best recreation for children ages 11 and 5. I have six people in my party and its my sisters birthday and this is a milestone because we are celebrating her bat mitzvah ?

    Hi Elisa!

There are a lot of great resort hotels at Walt Disney World. However, it terms of activities and things to do for children, I think 2 stand out:  Animal Kingdom Lodge and Beach Club. The Animal Kingdom Lodge is a favorite of many children. It had the animals of course but also a great pool and a lot of family activities such as story telling and watching the animals at night via night vision goggles. Another great place is the Beach Club because of StormAlong Bay, the best hotel pool at Walt Disney World. The pool at the beach club is a sand bottom pool and the children's area is actually a sand island!  Kids of all ages definitely enjoy it.

Other resorts to consider are the Magic Kingdom monorail resorts. That will give you easy access to the Magic Kingdom and relatively easy access to Epcot. With young children you may be spending a lot of time in the Magic Kingdom.  I would recommend considering the Polynesian and the Contemporary.

I hope this helps. Please write back with more questions!
