Hello Kami,
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
It's great to hear that you want to make use of your own
My Disney Experience account. With a My Disney Experience account, you'll be able to explore all the magical possibilities for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation plans, including Resort hotels and Deluxe Villas that are part of the
Disney Resorts Collection,
vacation packages,
theme park tickets,
Disney Park Pass system theme park reservations,
dining reservations, and more.
And, of course, when you use the
My Disney Experience mobile app, you'll enjoy the convenience of all these planning tools on the go as you enjoy your vacation.
It sounds like you're seeing an issue with signing in to your My Disney Experience account as expected. One idea, and it's something you might have already tried, is to sign out of the account on the device you're using and then try signing in again with your own account information. To try this, you can tap the main menu in the app (the 3 stacked lines in the lower right) and scroll to the bottom of the screen to tap the "Sign Out" link. If this doesn't do the trick, my best suggestion for getting your own account and your mother's account all set up as you expect is to reach out to the Walt Disney World Resort at (407)-934-7639 and speak with a Cast Member for My Disney Experience support. One of the friendly Cast Members can take a look at the accounts with you and offer you guidance. You can also reach out to the Cast Members using the
chat service online, or using the "Chat with Us" feature in the My Disney Experience mobile app.
Kami, I'm hopeful you'll be making all your magical plans for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation real soon. As you begin making your plans, be sure to follow the
Disney Parks Blog as a fun way to stay in the know about all the exciting experiences that await you when you visit the Walt Disney World Resort.
Here's wishing you lots of Disney magic in your day today, Kami!
Jerry
