Hi I'm trying to decide whether to go to ohanas at 8:30 pm and watch fireworks on the beach or chef mickeys and watch the fireworks at the contemporary ..it's just me hubby and my 5 year old daughter ...thanks

Aloha Melanie!  My family loves dinning at 'Ohana for dinner.  My six year old specifically asks to eat here each trip.  She loves the coconut races and doing the hula.

My suggestion to you is to find out what time Wishes, the nighttime fireworks at Magic Kingdom, start the night you want to dine at 'Ohana.  Make your reservation about 1 hour before the fireworks begin and request a window seat.  Make sure when you check in at the restaurant you remind them that you would like to have a window table.  It is not guaranteed, but they do their best.   About the time you are starting dessert the lights will dim inside the restaurant and the music from the show gets piped in.  You have a perfect firework view right from your table.  It is a great way to end a fantastic dinner and our favorite way to watch Wishes!

I hope you have a magical vacation and if you have another question, feel free to ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
