I'm trying to decide on a resort for me and my daughter (age8) which will be from Christmas till New Years. The resorts I'm looking at are the All Star Movie - then the Carribean - then one of the Port Orleans resorts. Do you have a suggestion.

    Hi Mark,

My family spent Christmas and New Years at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort back in 2010 and had an amazing time. In actual fact, it is my 9-year old Sons favourite Resort hotel out of all the Disney Resort hotels which we have stayed at.)

The answer to your question really boils down to budget. Obviously, it will be cheaper to stay at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort then the other Resort hotels which you mention as it is a Value Resort as opposed to a Moderate Resort.

I have never stayed at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort as of yet but it is a huge Resort which may impact on the amount of time it will take to travel to the Disney Parks as the buses will likely make several stops around your Resort before heading to a Disney Park. This could also happen at the Port Orleans Resorts but they are not as big in overall size.

Given the choice, I would go with Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter but saying that, I would be equally as happy to stay at the All-Star Movies Resort.

One thing that is for certain is that no matter which hotel you decide to stay at, you will have the most magical Christmas and New Years ever!

Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
