    Hi, I'm trying to decide between Narcoossee's and California Grill for dinner. Both a little before 6pm on Oct 1 before my wife and I go to MNSSHP. Both seem excellent. Any tips would help.

    Welcome back, Robert!

    You have selected two of my family's favorite Walt Disney World Resort restaurants!  The magical sunset views from the floor to ceiling windows at California Grill are amazing, and there's no better view of Seven Seas Lagoon than from a window table at Narcoosee's. The menu offerings at both restaurants are incredible and always provide a unique culinary experience. And the desserts? Oh my! I always make sure to leave plenty of room for my absolute favorite dessert on property, Narcoosee's almond encrusted cheesecake with raspberry sauce. You are sure to have wonderful dining experiences at both restaurants. 

    However, I am not sure you want to plan such a fantastic dining experience on a night you plan to attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. In my experience, meals at these restaurants can take about two hours. I would hate to think you felt rushed and would not enjoy your meal. If possible, I suggest planning to dine at one of these restaurants on another night where you can have a leisurely meal. 

    Since you can enter the Magic Kingdom at 4 P.M. with your party tickets, you might consider entering early to eat. You can make a reservation at Tony's Town Square Restaurant or Liberty Tree Tavern or choose a quick service option like Columbia Harbor House or Pinnochio Village Haus. You will want to enjoy all the spooktacular entertainment and character interactions offered during Mickey's famous party.
