Hello all! I'm trying to decide which month to travel to WDW, Sept or Oct. First time in attending in the fall, and the Halloween party is a must. Any Suggestions would be wonderful. Also will POR be fully refurbished by then? Thanks for your help.

Fall will be a wonderful time to visit  Walt Disney World Resort. We love to visit after the peak heat of the summer.

The Royal Guest Rooms are scheduled to be finished by March 2012 at Disney Port Orleans-Riverside so work will be completed well before your arrival.

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is a must see event. The costumes, the park in the dark, and the candy are an awesome way to experience the Magic Kingdom. Typically the dates for this hard ticket autumn offering are released in late April or early May and tickets  traditionally go on sale in early May. Keep checking Special Events this spring for when exact dates will be released.

October will have more frequent offerings of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party than September and the temperatures are cooler. September, in my experience, has fewer crowds as children have just started back to school. Either month will be a great choice for visiting the happiest place on earth.
