    I'm trying to decide on a character meal on my son's 2nd bday in Feb '13. Tusker H sounds the best but if I have a base ticket does that mean I'll have to spend the day in AK? We want to go to MK. Would Chef Mickey's be a better choice w/ ease of transfer?

    Hi Nancy,

    If you only have Magic Your Way base tickets then yes, you would have to spend the day at Disney's Animal Kingdom if you wanted to eat at Tusker House Restaurant on your Sons birthday.

    If you would like to spend the day at the Magic Kingdom, Chef Mickey's is the perfect choice! It is only a short stroll or monorail ride away from the Theme Park and would be a nice break during your day.

    I would highly recommend that you make an advance dining reservation for this meal at your earliest possible opportunity as due to their popularity, character meals do book up fairly quickly. Advance dining reservations can be made up to 180 days prior to your visit on the Walt Disney World website or by calling (407) 939-3463.
