I'm trying to decide between the BW, YC, & Contemporary for 5/10. Have a 20 month old (light sleeper) & I have heard BW & CR can be noisy. I was looking to try somewhere new since we already stayed in YC, but is YC my best bet ?

    Hi Jamie,

All three of those resorts are great resorts.  They are also large, meaning what's true for one room in the resort may not be true for others.  I think that is especially true with regards to background noise.

I just had the privilege of staying in the Contemporary Resort and it was awesome.  However, I was on the floor right above Chef's Mickey and I must admit it was a little noisy until things settled down in Chef Mickey's for the night.  However, you can ask for a room in the Garden Wing and not the Tower.  Those room are very quiet and relaxing.  The Garden rooms have either a water, garden, or parking lot view.  Just remember that it is a longer walk to the shops, restaurants, and the monorail station.  On the other hand, you are closer to the pool and the marina.

i think you can definitely find quiet rooms at the Boardwalk Inn, as long as your room is not near the Boardwalk itself (where the shops, restaurants, and night clubs are located).  The Boardwalk is a very nice resort and is beautifully landscaped.  I've have found quiet places to enjoy the flower beds and fountains on several occasions.

The Beach Club and the Yacht Club are right next to each other and both share Stormalong Bay, the fabulous sand-bottom pool that is more like a mini-water park than a pool.  My children, ages 5 and 10, love the Beach Club because of Stormalong Bay.  It's on the other side of Crescent Lake from the Boardwalk Inn, but still within easy walking distance of all of the shops and restaurants on the Boardwalk.

I don't think you can really go wrong with any of the resorts.  All remember that you can put in a room request.  Just remember that they are requests and can not be guaranteed by Disney.

    Have a magical vacation.
