Hello, Naomi!
Welcome to planDisney!
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is a frightfully wonderful time of year, you are going to love it. I would be delighted to help you plan a spooky finale to your day in the parks.
Halloween Screams is a Disney nighttime spectacular featuring classic Disney villains like Ursula and Maleficent along with the “Master of Scare-omonies” Jack Skellington and his spectral dog, Zero! The show is currently scheduled nightly, however, fireworks are part of the show only on select evenings. The
entertainment calendar is the place to find which version of the show is scheduled during your visit, and the calendar is usually updated around six weeks in advance. So, we can't see the plan for October 30 quite yet! The schedule for that date will likely release in mid-September, so keep an eye on the calendar for updates.
Fireworks are always subject to weather (can't have too many restless spooks in the atmosphere) so it's a good idea to remember that the entertainment schedule may change. I love that nighttime spectaculars like Halloween Screams include gorgeous projections, lasers, music, and other effects that can be enjoyed, even on nights when there aren't fireworks! The best way to keep up to date with the entertainment during your visit, especially once you're in the park, is to use the
Disneyland Mobile App. Tap the "≡" to open the menu, then scroll down to "Park Hours and Info" to see the entertainment schedule for today.
Halloween Screams isn't the only seasonal fun you'll find!
Haunted Mansion Holiday invites Jack Skellington and his friends to stay at the famous mansion during Halloween, and you can celebrate
Día de los Muertos in Frontierland as well! You'll find plenty of treats to enjoy across the park and more pumpkins than you could possibly imagine. Don't forget to stop and visit with classic Disney characters in their Halloween best!
Naomi, don't forget to look for lots of other entertainment options on the calendar during your visit! The
Dapper Dans are a classic and a long-time favorite of mine. They often sing some spookier numbers during Halloween, too! I hope you have a ghoulishly great time at the parks!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
