Hello! I'm trying to clarify how the Passholder Park Hopper benefit and the weekend entry restrictions for Magic Kingdom work together. If we have a park reservation for EPCOT on a Saturday, can we Park Hop to Magic Kingdom?

    Welcome to planDisney, Adam!

I’m happy to be chatting with a fellow Annual Passholder! Make sure you are familiar with the Annual Passholder Offers, Perks, and More page for great insider information about Disney World’s Annual Passes! There is always something magical happening, and you should take advantage of all of the offerings you can while you’re visiting.

In response to the excitement about the new nighttime parade at Magic Kingdom, Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, Annual Passholders are required (for a limited time only) to have a theme park reservation when they are visiting Magic Kingdom as their first park of the day regardless of the time or date.

The GOOD news is that park hopping privileges for Passholders has NOT changed. If you reserve and visit any other theme park (in your case, EPCOT) and then hop to Magic Kingdom, so long as park capacity has not been reached, you will be welcome to enter the theme park. Again, I will repeat that you must have reserved a theme park and you must have scanned into that theme park for you to be able to park hop to Magic Kingdom.

I hope your trip is beyond magical, Adam! If you have any additional questions before your arrival, please feel free to visit us again at planDisney! We always love helping Guests as much as we possibly can.

When I’m not galavanting around the Disney theme parks, you’ll probably find me reading a good book, outside playing with my family, or learning to do something new. I truly believe that dreams come true, and I look forward to sharing that magic with you!
