So I’m trying to buy these tickets to go to Disneyland on 31 December and it says tier 6. For tier 6 can we go on that day or is it a block out date?

Hi there, Maria! I'm so glad you came by planDisney with your question about ticketing.

I see that you were hoping to get an answer about purchasing a 1-Day Tier 6 Ticket to Disneyland Resort on December 31, and I realize that date has now passed. However, I still have some information that might be helpful to you for any future visits to the Happiest Place on Earth!

When guests purchase a 1-day theme park ticket, this ticket will be listed with a tier (or pricing level) that corresponds to the intended date of their visit. A 1-day theme park ticket can be used on any eligible date in the designated tier or in one of the lower tiers - up until the expiration date. You can view and select the date you plan to visit the Disneyland Resort theme parks on the admission and ticketing calendar. Once you select your preferred date, the ticket tier and price per ticket will be displayed. From what I can tell, it looks like your 1-Day Tier 6 Ticket would not have been subject to a blockout date on December 31 of last year. However, tier assignments and blockout dates can change each year so I suggest consulting the ticket tier and blockout date page before making a ticket purchase.

I always like to remind guests that they will need both a valid ticket to the Disneyland Resort theme parks and a theme park reservation in order to enter on their selected date. The good news is that when you select the date you plan to use your 1-Day ticket on the calendar and the theme park you wish to enter, a park reservation will automatically be made at the time of your purchase. It's so nice to have these steps combined, but if you ever find the need to verify or even modify your park reservation, you can locate them in the "My Theme Park Reservations" section of the Disneyland Resort webpage. I also recommend using the official Disneyland mobile app which will list your theme park reservations in the "Future Plans" tab. You can locate this by tapping the three horizontal lines in the bottom right-hand corner of the application screen and navigating to the "Future Plans" icon. This feature is especially helpful because it will also display information on any dining reservations you may have made or activities you may have booked. I love having all this information in one place, right on my mobile device!

I hope this has been helpful advice for you, Maria, and I hope you come back to visit planDisney again real soon!

    Wishing you a magical visit,
