Hi Karen! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.
To enter the parks, you'll need a
valid admission ticket and a
theme park reservation. I would never suggest waiting until you arrive to purchase a ticket or make a theme park reservation because unfortunately, parks sell out with great regularity. There is no special pool of tickets and theme park reservations held back for day of purchase, so to arrive and not be able to enter would make for a very unmagical experience. The best plan is to already have your ticket and reservation in place as far out as possible.
Summer is a popular time to visit Disneyland Resort, so it is possible your dates would sell out. If that happens, it is possible availability will change: People's plans change, and as they cancel their theme park reservations, spots open up. If you ever run into this situation, don't give up hope! Check every day to see if theme park reservations have become available on your preferred date.
However, I am seeing availability for a Standard Theme Park Ticket for both parks throughout the remaining dates in July. You can check the
theme park reservation availability calendar to see if your preferred dates and park are still open. If your theme park and date show availability, the next step is to buy your ticket and make your park reservation. If you're having difficulty with the desktop system for purchasing tickets or the
Disneyland mobile app, you can always speak with a helpful Cast Member on the
Tickets phone line, who can assist you with your transaction.
I hope this helps!
Elizabeth
