I'm trying to buy standard tickets/reservations, but it only asks me for how many children. Do adults have to purchase tickets also? If so, how and where do I need to do that?

    Hi there, Ronelle!

I am so glad you decided to stop by planDisney with your question! Since your visit to Disneyland Resort is only a couple of months away, it is a good idea to purchase your tickets now. Park reservations sometimes become unavailable the closer you get to your arrival date, and we do not want that to happen!

Everyone aged 3 and older needs a valid park ticket and a park reservation to enter the theme parks. On the Disneyland Ticket Purchasing Page, select your ticket type and then the number of days that you want to visit the theme parks. After that, you can then select tickets for everyone in your party (both kids and adults). There are currently two different categories of Standard Theme Park Tickets: one category for kids aged 3-9 and another category for those at least 10 years old (which includes both older children and adults).

After that, you can choose either One Park Per Day Tickets or Park Hopper Tickets. I always recommend Park Hopper Tickets because I like to visit both parks on the same day. My family often begins our morning in one park and then enjoys dinner and evening experiences in the other park. I also like having the freedom to schedule Disney Genie+ Lightning Lanes in either park on the same day.

You will be arriving on the last day of the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, so make sure to check out the Foodie Guide ahead of time! The Carbonara Garlic Mac & Cheese featuring Nueske’s Peppered Bacon and Mickey-shaped Macaron made with SNICKERS were two of my favorite dishes last year!

Ronelle, I hope your family has a wonderful visit to Disneyland Resort. If you have other questions, feel free to contact me directly!
