I'm trying to make a breakfast reservation for akershus but even 60 days out I'm not seeing it as an option.

Hi Elizabeth, and welcome to planDisney! Character breakfasts are such a magical way to start a Disney day. So let’s chat about snagging a morning reservation at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall!

This character breakfast in EPCOT’s Norway pavilion is extremely popular since you get to meet so many Disney princesses. It’s also a great value if you have one of the Disney Dining Plans with table-service meals, since breakfast currently uses just one credit. So it can be hard to book a morning reservation, even at 60 days out. I just played around with different dates, and it looks like breakfast only pops up as an option when there’s a time available. So if you don’t see anything, it’s probably completely booked.

If you’re staying at a Disney resort hotel, you can make dining reservations up to 60 days before check-in for your entire stay (up to a 10-night stay). Because of this advantage, it can be easier to book popular reservations, like Akershus and Topolino’s Terrace (my favorite character breakfast), for dates towards the end of your trip.

However, if there isn’t availability for your dates, keep checking back, especially in the days leading up to your trip. Other guests are always changing their plans, and I’ve had good luck picking up hard-to-get reservations even the day before.

As an alternative, you might look at making a reservation for a different character meal with Disney Princesses, like Cinderella’s Royal Table or 1900 Park Fare. There are also lots of opportunities to meet the royals themselves in EPCOT and Magic Kingdom. No reservation needed!

You can check the available characters, along with their meeting times, in the My Disney Experience app. Go to the navigation icon at the bottom (looks like an upside-down teardrop). On the next screen, scroll through the icons at the top and select Characters. You can sort by location, and then I like to press Show List at the bottom right corner to easily see everyone who’s meeting. This typically only shows characters meeting that day, so you may not see anything when the parks are closed.

I hope you have a magical visit to Disney World next month and get to hang out with lots of Disney Princesses! And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome back at planDisney.
