Hello, Tammy, and welcome to
planDisney!
How very lucky you are to be planning a visit to
Walt Disney World Resort during the Holiday season and especially on Christmas Day – how very special! We spent many a Christmas Day at
Magic Kingdom Park and basked and took our touring at a much easier pace to enjoy all there was to see and do.
Tammy, I’m sorry to hear that
Disney Park Pass Reservations are booked for Christmas Day, and while there is no way, at this time, to be informed of any potential openings, my best advice would be for you to check back continuously at the
Walt Disney World Resort – Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar often, and I mean several times a day, as people’s plans do change when “life” steps in with other plans.
If your search proves fruitless, then another option would be to upgrade your existing Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets to include the
Park Hopper® Option by calling
Walt Disney World – Existing Tickets, or by visiting a theme park ticket booth, or stopping in at the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs, or at your
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel Front Desk during your visit.
Tammy, you can make a Disney Park Pass Reservation at any other available theme park, and with the Park Hopper® Option, you may be able to enter Magic Kingdom Park at 2:00 PM or later pending availability – but no promises made as this is the most popular day. You will be able to check for theme park availability via the
My Disney Experience App through a real-time push notification, you can ask a Cast Member at a Guest Experience Kiosk (look for a dark blue umbrella near attractions), you can ask at any Guest Relations, or you are welcome to call a Guest Services automated line at (407) 560-5000 for theme park capacity updates and Park Hopper® Option availability.
Tips:The
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will be in full swing, and this theme park is a great place to be on Christmas Day to delight in the many cultural holiday traditions from around the World Showcase – one of our favourite things to do is to participate in the
Candlelight Processional Dining Package to enjoy our festive meal at a venue in EPCOT followed by reserved seating for the Candlelight Processional. This is a must-do experience!
It was my pleasure helping a fellow Canadian Disney fan, Tammy, and I look forward to offering more first-hand tips and advice – thank you so much for consulting planDisney!
Best Disney Holiday Wishes!
Jacqueline
