Character dining is one of the most popular, high-demand activities at the Disneyland Resort. Guests of all ages love dancing along with Goofy at
Goofy's Kitchen or dining with their royal highnesses at the
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventure at
Napa Rose. Due to its popularity, finding reservations available at character dining locations can be a bit tricky. Advance dining reservations can be made up to 60 days ahead of your dining date. Since you are already within that window, you are likely seeing that there are no reservations left during the dates you mentioned. However, that doesn't have to be the end of your story!
Though it is a little more labor-intensive, I do have a strategy that can help find reservations closer to your stay. Using the
Disneyland Mobile App, you can keep checking back daily to see if new reservations have opened up. Guests do tend to change their plans on the fly, so when one Guest cancels a dining reservation, it becomes available for others to book. I find the most success using this strategy within a few days of my trip, but often have found the most availability just the day before I'd like to dine. If you can stay flexible in your planning, you may just hit the character dining jackpot!
Connie, you may also consider utilizing the
Mobile Dine Walk-Up List to enjoy a character meal. Both Goofy's Kitchen and
Storytellers Cafe have the Walk-Up List Option. Here's how it works. On the day you'd like to dine at either of these locations, open the Disneyland Mobile App and use the search feature (magnifying glass on the bottom menu bar) to find the restaurant you'd like to visit. When you get to that restaurant's page, you'll see an option for "Join Walk-Up List." Though you cannot join the list until you're closer to the restaurant, checking the app first will allow you to ensure that there is availability at the time you're looking. Once you're near the restaurant, you will click that "Join Walk-Up List" button and be given an approximate wait time. Once your table is ready, you'll receive a notification and you'll be on your way to a magical meal! For the character dining locations that do not have a Walk-Up List option, you can always get there just before they open and ask the Cast Member at the podium if they may be able to accommodate your party.
