Bonjour!
Welcome to planDisney, Morgan! Thank you for stopping by with your question today, all about your trip to
Disneyland Paris in April! It will be here before you know it, and if it were me, I would already have the suitcases down from the loft! It looks like you are visiting to celebrate your daughter’s 4th birthday, and if you ask me, there truly is no better place to celebrate such a special occasion!
My Royal Dream is an incredibly popular experience located inside the
Disneyland Hotel, and Guests staying at a Disney Hotel are able to book My Royal Dream at the same time as booking their
Hotel + Ticket Package, and it very often fills up far in advance. Guests not staying at a Disney Hotel can book one month before their visit, where availability allows. It is likely fully booked on the day you were hoping to experience it, but my advice is to keep checking the
Disneyland Paris app regularly for cancellations, as these do happen as Guests finalise their plans closer to their stay. If you are still unable to secure a booking, I recommend heading over to the
Royal Collection Boutique in the Disneyland Hotel once you arrive to ask if they have any availability during your visit!
We have been lucky enough to celebrate a few of our sons’ birthdays at Disney destinations, and something we like to do as a bit of a birthday tradition is enjoy a
character dining experience together! When you visit in April, the brand new Regal View Restaurant will have opened as part of the exciting Disney Adventure World expansion, giving you the opportunity to dine with Princesses! If you are visiting within 30 days of your daughter’s birthday, I also recommend picking up a complimentary birthday celebration button from City Hall, where available, so Cast Members and fellow Guests can celebrate along with her! Just be sure to have some ID for her to hand.
When you make reservations at table service or buffet restaurants, you are able to add a celebration cake to your booking, or you can just let your server know at the start of your meal that you would like one. There are different types of cake available at different restaurants, so I advise checking with your server about allergens and suitability for vegetarian diets before confirming the order. On a recent visit, we enjoyed a meal at Pym Kitchen, and the table next to us was celebrating a birthday and had ordered the celebration cake. In that restaurant, it was a very impressive ice cream cake fit for a superhero!
Throughout the year, there are often items you can pre-order for your hotel room, which make a brilliant surprise for those celebrating at Disneyland Paris! When available, Disneyland Paris can share PDF brochures if you contact them directly, so I would recommend
reaching out to a Cast Member closer to the time of your visit.
I hope this answers your question today, Morgan, and that you have the most magical time celebrating your daughter’s birthday in just a few months at my favourite destination in Europe! If you have any other questions as you continue to plan your trip, please
reach out to me. I'd love to help!
See ya real soon!
Matt
