Hello, Larry! Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for your question! Your magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is coming up soon - I bet you're getting excited and counting down the days!
I'm sorry to hear you've been having trouble making your dining reservation for the
Princess Breakfast at the Grand Californian. That's frustrating! I have a hunch it's because of the upcoming refurbishment occurring at Napa Rose restaurant.
As mentioned on the Disneyland website, the Character Dining experience for the Princess Breakfast is currently modified.
If I were you, Larry, and the dining location is receiving reservations for parties of two, I would recruit another person in your party and make two separate "party of two" dining reservations, from two different Disney Accounts, as the system only allows one reservation per account for a particular time. Be sure both of you request the same date and time! Then, at check-in for your dining reservation, you can let the host know that your two groups are together.
I would also continue to check the
Princess Breakfast reservation page in hopes your desired dining party number becomes available, as availability is always changing even up to only hours before! With a little trust and pixie dust, I'll be wishing your Princess Breakfast dreams do come true!
But if, for whatever reason, meeting the Princesses at a Character Dining experience doesn't work out, there's always the
Royal Hall in Fantasy Faire! Up to three of the world's best-loved Disney Princess at any given time receive Guests in their own special nook in a quaint little medieval square to take photos and sign autographs - all included in your theme park ticket to Disneyland Park! To avoid long lines, I recommend arriving to Royal Hall,
located next to Sleeping Beauty Castle, a little before 10am, when it opens. It's a fairytale come true!
I hope this has been helpful to you in your planning, Larry, and that you have an incredible time immersed in the Disneyland magic, however that may be. If you have any additional questions or perhaps would like tips on how to make your character interactions more magical (like what to ask Princess Belle when you meet her),
you've got a friend in me! I'm always happy to help.
Warmest wishes,
McCayla
