Hello! So I’m trying to book for May 2020 and I was wondering how early to make the hotel reservation I’m not doing a vacation package. I also would like to know if you put down a down payment for your room. How does that work?

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Hope!

I've been to Walt Disney World Resort more times than I can count but I still get a thrill every time I check-in to my Resort Hotel. I've got a stay coming up in just a couple of days to kick off the holiday season and I can't wait to get through the sliding doors of my Resort Hotel and smell the incredible scent of the lobby that lets me know that I'm truly on vacation.

Booking your Resort Hotel stay is the first part of planning your vacation so I suggest that you do it as soon as you're ready. Booking for May of 2020 is open right now, so as soon as you know where you'd like to stay you should go ahead make that reservation so you can make sure that you get a room exactly where you want. When you book a Room Only reservation without any Theme Park admission attached to it, you will need to pay a deposit equal to one night's stay at your Resort Hotel. This payment needs to be made at the time of booking with the rest of it due when you check-in. You can book online or you're welcome to call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations to have a Cast Member help you reserve your room and get the ball rolling on your vacation planning.

    Have a magical day, Hope!
