planDisney. I see you will soon be traveling to the planet Batuu, at the edge of the galaxy. This wondrous planet offers amazing experiences like piloting the Millennium Falcon, sipping blue milk, and shopping for items that you can only find in a galaxy far, far away. One of my favorite experiences is building your own custom droid at the Droid Depot. Let’s get to your question, and I can tell you more about it.
Based on my research, you can book your reservation for the Droid Depot once you arrive in the US. Although not mandatory, you can check availability and book your experience using the following link for the
Droid Depot webpage. You can also use the
My Disney Experience app to search for Droid Depot; it will take you to the information page, where you can check availability. I just checked, and there are many openings for the first couple of days after your arrival, so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding a time that works best for you.
One of the neatest features of owning your droid is that it uses Bluetooth technology to communicate with other astromech droid units and with certain other elements and objects on Batuu and at Disney Parks and Resorts. I found it a lot of fun just walking around the land with my droid to see the different ways it interacted with areas as well as other travelers' droids.
