I'm trying to book a dining reservation at the TREX restaurant for dinner sometime May 15-19 but there are no options AT ALL for any of those dates and I started looking evn 60 days out. What is going on?

    Hey there, Meredith!

Welcome back to planDisney, friend! I hope that you and your travel party are getting excited about your trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth. If you are looking for all things dino, I hope that your upcoming adventure includes a trip to Disney's Animal Kingdom, home to DinoLand U.S.A.!

I am so sorry to hear that you are unable to find a reservation for T-REX during your upcoming trip. The "Dino-mite" theming makes this location a very popular spot for all Jurassic enthusiasts. As a fellow fan of all things dinosaur, I can completely understand why this spot is at the top of your dining list. Life-sized dinos and fiery explosions sound like an amazing dinner setting to me! Popular dining spots like this can book up quickly! This could explain why you are not seeing availability during your dates. But there is no need to be a nervous "Rex", there are so many amazing restaurants to check out in Disney Springs. Quick service spots like The Polite Pig and Chicken Guy are great for comfort food that hits the spot, with no reservations required. If T-REX is your only reason for stopping by Disney Springs it should be noted that you can visit the "Dino Store" for dinosaur souvenirs that will make your heart "saur".

I do have a pro tip to share- if at first you don't succeed, try-try-try-ceretops again! Plans often change, and reservations can become available again. I recommend checking the dining reservation site often to see if your preferred time slot opens up before your arrival date. The best time frames to find canceled reservations are 30 days from the desired date and 24 hours out. There are also some third-party sites that offer reservation finder services for those hard to get reservations. These can be incredibly helpful for securing those must-try spots on your list and can be found through your favorite internet search engine. The sites will ask you for your restaurant and date preferences. If a reservation opens up, you will receive a push notification on your phone. I have used these services a few times with great success.

I hope that you have a "lava-ly" adventure!
    We'll see ya real soon!
