I'm trying to get assistance in planning my first trip to Disney world with my toddler and grandparents next week. The web site is very overwhelming is there someone to talk to help plan a one day excursion to Disney World and possibly animal kingdom.

    Hi Michelle! Welcome to planDisney!

I completely understand how overwhelming it can be to begin planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation! In fact, all of us here at planDisney have been exactly where you are and that is why we love answering Guest questions. I am happy to help you navigate the steps to get your planning underway!

The first thing you want to do is check the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar (I will include links to everything that I tell you about so you can easily find each item!). Since Walt Disney World theme park tickets AND Disney Park Pass reservations are currently required to enter the theme parks, you need to make sure that the theme parks you want to visit have reservations available first. Simply select the date of your visit on the calendar to see which park or parks are available. If the date you entered for your arrival date is the day you are visiting the theme parks, then EPCOT is currently the only theme park available for reservations.

Next, you will want to decide which ticket you need. If you buy a base ticket, then you can visit only one theme park that day. So, if EPCOT was available, you would visit that theme park for the whole day. If you select a Park Hopper Option ticket, you can visit EPCOT in the morning, then hop to another one of the three theme parks after 2:00 PM when park hopping hours begin. This would be a good way to visit either Magic Kingdom Park or Disney's Animal Kingdom in the afternoon.

Once your tickets are purchased, make your Disney Park Pass reservations right away! Lots of people have the same plan as you this summer ... spend some time at the Most Magical Place on Earth! Theme park reservations fill up quickly, so snag your reservations right away.

If you want to talk with someone about planning, give Disney a call directly at (407) 939-7679 and speak with a Cast Member. They can help walk you through the planning process, too!

I hope this helps, Michelle! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
