Im trying to add my sisters booking to my app so we can reserve restaurants together. (We are staying onsite). However, it won't let me add her booking as we have different last names. Can I book for 4 people in advance?

Hello, Chloe, and welcome to planDisney! Thank you for your great question about dining reservations. I love it because it must mean you've got some very fun experiences at the Happiest Place on Earth coming up! Let's dig in!

While Guests are able to link theme park tickets with other members of their party, for dining reservations at the Disneyland Resort only the person who made the dining reservation is able to see it on their account. Nobody else can link it to their account. For example, if I make a dining reservation for, let's say, my immediate family of four, my aunt and uncle, and my cousin, the dining reservation can only be seen in my account. Even my husband wouldn't be able to see the reservation in his account, and we have the same last names. But all of us would be able to dine together under my reservation! Hope that answers your question!

Advance dining reservations at Disneyland Resort are open for booking up to 60 days prior to your visit, Chloe. And this goes for all Guests, regarding of where they are staying. To search dining locations where reservations are accepted, scroll the options on the Disneyland website. Select a restaurant individually that interests you to see the times available or click on the blue "Check All Availability" button to log into your account and confirm party size and date, when it's your time to book. I prefer to make dining reservations through the Disneyland app by selecting "Dining" from the drop down on the park map and exploring around. This way I can easily see where the dining location is within the park and if it makes sense based on my plans for that particular day.

If you haven't linked your sister's theme park tickets to your Disneyland app yet, you can do this by clicking on the ☰ at the bottom right of the screen and selecting "My Tickets & Passes." Then click on the (+) sign in the top right corner and select “Link Tickets & Passes” to type in her theme park ticket number where it will then be added to your Disneyland app! This way, if you both plan to utilize Lightning Lanes while you're in the parks, you'll be able to book return times together - which is so great!

I hope this has been helpful to you in your planning, Chloe, and that you and your sister have so much fun immersed in the Disneyland magic. If any other questions come up, like dining location recommendations or strategies to maximize the magic of Lightning Lanes, don't hesitate to reach out! You've got a friend in me.

    Cheers!
