Im trying to add a gift card as a payment option in my disney account, bu the only options it gives me is to add a credit/debit card or a disney rewards redemption card. I got giftcards for my birthday with the whole idea they could be added.

Hiya Jesse - welcome to planDisney!

Thanks so much for stopping by with your question for our team of panelists. We love to help Guests just like you plan your very own, very magical, Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

I'm so excited to hEAR about your upcoming trip! I love visiting in November and December when the temperatures are a bit cooler, but still warm enough for it to be an escape from the chilly winter up North! You'll be visiting during the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration, full of exciting new attractions, entertainment, food, and so much more - get ready to make some magical memories!

Disney Gift Cards are a great way to pay for all sorts of things associated with your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, both before you arrive and while you are here! While you can use a Disney Gift Card to pay for almost anything, including Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering, Resort reservations, Lightning Lane access, Genie+, and more, Disney Gift Cards can't currently be added to your My Disney Experience account as a saved method of payment. This just means that whenever you want to use a Disney Gift Card, you'll simply enter in the number on the payment screen online or in the My Disney Experience Mobile App.

If you have multiple Disney Gift Cards, you can make your life a bit easier by merging them all into one. Simply visit the Disney Gift Card website, create an account, add your Gift Cards, and follow the instructions to transfer the balances to a single card. Keep in mind that the maximum value of any one Disney Gift Card is $1,000 - if you have more than that in total, you'll still need to have more than one gift card.

I hope this information is helpful as you continue planning your vacation - please let me know if I can help answer any additional questions!
