Welcome to planDisney, Phillip!
Thanks so much for dropping by with a question today. Can you believe you're only 48 hours away from arriving at Walt Disney World Resort? With only two more sleeps to go, I bet the excitement is really starting to set in now!
As it sounds like you've already heard, Disney Vacation Club retired its physical Membership Cards (those legendary "Blue Cards") at the end of last year. Now, you can access all your Member Benefits right from your mobile device with a
Disney MagicMobile Pass that will act as your new DVC Digital Membership Card –– it's just like having your very own Membership magic wand! I'm sorry that you and your wife are having trouble downloading your new cards, but I'm, happy to offer a few suggestions to help you troubleshoot the issue and help you get ready for your upcoming visit.
In my experience, when Members can't get a card to download, it's typically because they're trying to download two cards from the same My Disney Experience account. However, while you might have been using a single account to access the
Disney Vacation Club website, both you and your wife will need your own DVC login and password, linked to an individual My Disney Experience account, in order to download your new digital card. Don't worry if you don't currently have two separate accounts –– it's quick and easy to set up a new account for an additional Member on your Membership. Here's what you'll need to do:
1. To set up a new account for your wife, you'll need her individual Club ID and activation code –– if you happen to have your original Membership documents handy, you
should find that information located there.
2. If you don't have access to your Membership documents or you can't find this info, you'll need to give Member Services a call at (800) 800-9800 or use the chat feature on the website and a Cast Member will be able to provide you with this info. Just be sure to have your Membership number available before calling or chatting –– the Cast Member you speak with will need to verify this information before they can assist you.
3. Once you have your Club ID and activation code, you'll need to visit the DVC website and click on "Sign In or Create Account" at the top of the page.
4. From there, simply follow the onscreen prompts to create your new account.
Once your wife's new account has been created, you'll need to head over to the Walt Disney World Resort website to connect her DVC account to her My Disney Experience account. After that, you should have no trouble using the
My Disney Experience mobile app to download her new Disney MagicMobile pass and digital card. However, if you're still having issues after following these steps, I recommend reaching out directly to Member Services for more assistance –– they might be able to help diagnose your specific issue and offer a different solution.
Thanks so much for visiting planDisney, Phillip. I hope your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit is filled with pixie dust and Membership magic from start to finish!
See Ya Real Soon,
Amy
