Hi Gilda, thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
It sounds like your brother manages the My Disney accounts of his wife and child. Since you’re connected with him through your Family & Friend’s List, he’ll need to follow these steps to allow you to share and make plans that include his family. Your brother should follow these steps on a web browser; it cannot be completed through the My Disney Experience app.
On a web browser, go to the
Walt Disney World website and visit “My Family & Friends.” He should see several categories, “Guests You Manage” and “Connections.” Under “Connections” he should find your name and click “Edit Settings," then click “Connect My Managed Guests.” A pop-up window will appear so he can select which managed guests he will allow you to make plans for. You should receive an e-mail inviting you to connect with the managed guests, which you should accept. After you accept, those guests should appear in your Family & Friends List!
While your brother is in his Family & Friends List, I recommend turning on the ability for you to see his Disney PhotoPass photos. I often travel with family and since we are all connected through Family & Friends, we can download all the PhotoPass photos from our vacation, even if not everyone is in the photo.
When you purchase Memory Maker, you can download the PhotoPass photos of up to 25 members of your Family & Friends List!
I hope this was helpful, Gilda! If your brother has any issues with these instructions, I recommend calling the number listed under “
My Disney Experience, MagicBand and MagicBand+” for assistance from a Cast Member. Have a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World with your family, and if you have any future questions, you can come back and
ask me directly at planDisney!
