Hi there Jacqueline,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! I think this is a good time to tell you that I'm temporarily joining your family so I can join you all on your trip - ha! What an amazing experience you all are going to have.
While I suspect there may be a limit to how many
theme park tickets that you could load up onto the
Disneyland Resort mobile app, you will absolutely be able to load 8-9 tickets with no issue. In fact, I went on an extended family trip back in April of this year and had 10 tickets all loaded up onto my mobile app.
One trick, if you didn't already know, is to make sure to link your tickets with other members of your party who can download the mobile app. Have them create their own
MyDisney account and log into the app. Next, they'll tap the menu button (the three horizontal lines), select "My Tickets & Passes," then "Link Tickets & Passes."
From here, each member of your party can scan their ticket barcode so they can have it on their phone as well. This is really helpful if your party might split up at points during your trip. It might even make sense to have everyone in your family link all tickets to each of their phones. The adults did this on the April family trip that I mentioned and it helped when we split up, scanned into the park, and made
Lightning Lane selections (since we had purchased Lightning Lane Multi Pass for our visit).
Thanks again for your question, Jacqueline! I hope you and your family have an amazing time at the Happiest Place on Earth. Make sure to come back and see us here at planDisney if you think of any follow-ups. We'd love to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
