Hi, I'm travelling over from Scotland and will be staying in tampa for 2 days before going to disney (all star sports resort). will be hiring car in tampa and drive to disney. where is best to drop car off? airport or disney?

Caroline, it would absolutely be the easiest if you could use a rental car that you can drop off at Disney.  The Alamo and National car rental agencies have service right on property at the Car Care Center which is located next to the Magic Kingdom parking lot and at the Swan and Dolphin resorts located next to the Boardwalk area.  Hertz cars can be returned at the Hilton Hotel next  to the Downtown Disney area.  It might cost a little more but if you had to go to the airport you would then have to pay to get back to Disney property.  Walt Disney World is conveniently located right off I4 which you would take from Tampa.  It would be the easiest for you in many ways.
