Hello, Mark, welcome back to planDisney!
I am happy you are planning another visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, especially after recently returning home! Lucky you! The Most Magical Place On Earth has the same effect on me, too, as I often start planning my next trip while waiting to board my flight home.
As you experienced on your previous visit, Disability Access Service (DAS) is designed for Guests who have difficulty waiting in attractions and experience queues due to a disability or medical issue. Ideally, a Guest interested in applying for DAS will pre-registrator 30 days before their park visit but no less than two days before visiting. Unfortunately, Guests from the UK cannot apply in advance, but you are welcome to apply in person with a Cast Member at one of the Guest Relations locations on the day of your visit.
Before I dive into the registration process, there are a couple of essential things to know about DAS:
- DAS allows guests to request a return time for an attraction or experience but doesn’t provide immediate access.
- The guest requesting DAS must be present when registering and present when returning to the experience at the set time.
- DAS is valid for up to 60 days.
- Receiving DAS on a previous visit does not guarantee DAS on future visits.
If you could pre-register for DAS, you would start by downloading the My Disney Experience App, creating an account if you haven’t already, and ensuring you have linked park tickets to each guest in your party. Next, navigate to the website, Registering for Disability Access Service (DAS), and scroll about halfway down the page until you see the section “Ready to Chat with a Cast Member?”. Once you read the Terms and Conditions, you can click on the “Request a Live Video Chat”. A chat box will pop up on your screen with some questions for you to answer before the video chat begins. Please know that the live chat and video chat is available only from 7 AM to 10 PM Eastern Time.
If you are not granted DAS for your future visit, Disney has other services available to Guests with disabilities, too! I hope this answers your question about pre-registering for DAS for an upcoming visit, Mark. If you have any follow-up questions or want me to “Dig a little deeper” into other Disney World planning questions, drop me a line!
See you real soon,
Brent
