Hi there, I'm travelling in October 2020. When planning out which parks to do each day, I would like to know if any of them have extra magic hours while we are there. How far in advance do they post those? And what is the best way to check?

    Hi John,

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We're happy to help you plan your fall Walt Disney World vacation.

Extra Magic Hours are a great benefit of staying in a Disney resort. It's always a bonus to get additional time in the parks, either in the morning or later at night. My family members are night owls, so we especially like evening Extra Magic Hours.

The schedule of park hours usually is posted about six months (180 days) in advance. You can access the calendar on the Walt Disney World website or in the My Disney Experience app. All posted hours are subject to change and are updated regularly.

You've picked a wonderful month for a visit, packed with special events and festivals, such as the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom. Dates, ticket prices and schedules for those events should be announced in the coming weeks. The Disney Parks Blog is my go-to source for announcements, and that's where I expect to see special events details first.

Happy planning, John. Please check back with us if you want recommendations about where to eat, what to do and where to stay during your vacation. We're always here to share our experience with you!

    Enjoy,

    Wilma
