Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Victoria!
My littlest Mouseketeer was six months old on her first trip to Walt Disney World® Resort, so I'm happy to help you with tips & tricks I learned along the way - dining was definitely the most challenging as strollers are not permitted within the table service (sit-down) restaurants.
In her diaper bag, I carried around a "Floppy Seat," a highchair and grocery cart cover. This seat cover was thick enough and added enough padding that it would hold her up well in highchairs even when she was a peanut. Of course, when she had enough of the highchair, I usually ended up having to hold her. There was no reasoning with a six-month old.
Another tip I want to bring to your attention is the
Baby Care Centers located in all four theme parks. These locations offer a welcome respite for families! With changing rooms, nursing rooms and everything in between, this spot is great for the whole family to take a break. Even though my children are older now, I still visit the Baby Care Centers if anyone is in need of medication while we are in the parks. To watch a great Moms Panel video on our Baby Care Centers, just select the highlighted link above.
And since you'll be parking your stroller to enjoy meals and attractions, make sure you tie something to it for easier recognition when it's time to find it. Cast Members are constantly reshuffling the strollers in the stroller parking areas as guests come and go. It's likely not going to be where you thought you left it :) Also, remember to take frequent breaks for you and baby. Your little prince or princess may be small, but they're running the show.
I hope you find this helpful, Victoria! Please let me know if you should have any additional questions. I am here to help you plan a magical vacation.
