I´m travelling with a group of friends with children between 4 and 8. I have a 8 month baby and a 4 year old. Any recommendations to avoid being left by my friends

    Hi Alexa!

First of all, thank you so much for your question!  Secondly, I think the best option for you to 'not be left by your friends' (that makes me sad to think that might happen) would be that you plan ahead.  PLAN time that you would like to be doing things as a group, and then PLAN things that you'd like to to on your own, as a family.  I'd look at the baby's schedule for an idea of what times are more 'intensive' times as far as baby care is concerned.  I would plan to have a quiet time each day for them to nap, and know that you might not be up for a 'group thing' at that time.

I'd also chat with one (or more) of your friends about your concerns before your trip.  Chances are EVERYONE will not be doing EVERYTHING together ALL the time.  Make sure you hit the things that are important to you and your little ones so that you get what YOU want out of your vacation

Also, be prepared for each day the night before.  Set out the kids outfits and your outfits for each day (many pre-pack their kids clothes in baggies so they are easy to grab).  Make sure that you re-stock the diaper bag with snacks, change of clothes, wipes, diapers, formula, bottles, baby food, burp cloths, blankets/lovies, bibs etc each night before you go to bed.  It helps you get out the door so much more quickly in the morning!

I hope you have a magical vacation!
