I'm traveling with a 12 yr. and 8 yr. old; I want a hotel that isn't too young kid oriented to appeal to my 12 yr. old who is acting like 16. And one that offers convenience in getting around to attractions; we will do all 6 parks.

    Hi Carol,

If a deluxe resort is within your budget, I'd like to suggest the Contemporary Resort. With the monorail running through the middle of the resort, it is pretty impressive for all ages.  It is also sleek and modern in its design, which may appeal to your 12 year old going on 16.  Also, you can actually walk from the resort to the Magic Kingdom, and it is an easy monorail ride to Epcot. It is actually the resort my teen sons have requested for our next trip.

The Beach/Yacht Club are also wonderful resorts with their proximity to both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios (walking distance of both) and its amazing pool is nearly an attraction in and of itself:  3 acres of a sand-bottom pool and lazy river.

The Animal Kingdom Lodge is equally impressive with its African theming and animals right outside the rooms.  Imagine watching zebras and giraffes from your balcony! It is located right next to the Animal Kingdom, but it is further to the other parks.

These are just a few suggestions; if you'd like some other ideas, especially in a different budget range, please let us know. We are happy to help.
